MureÅŸ (IPA: ['mu.reʃ], Hungarian: Maros) is a county (judeÅ£) of Romania, in the historical region of Transylvania, with the capital city at Târgu-MureÅŸ.
Neighbours: Harghita County in the East, Alba County and Cluj County in the West, Bistriţa-Năsăud County and Suceava County in the North, Sibiu County and Braşov County in the South.
Demographics: In 2002, Mureş had a population of 580,851 and the population density was 86.5/km²: Romanians - 53.26% (or 309,375), Hungarians - 39.3% (or 228,275), Romas - 6.95% (or 40,425), Germans - 0.35% (or 2,045), and other.
